How to Use Marxist Analysis?
First, observe every characters carefully, starting from their jobs / status to their hobbies and personalities. Such will certainly divide the characters into two or more distinct groups that are essential for the analysis.
Second, investigate the relationship between the characters and groups. Who is hospitable to whom and who is hostile towards whom? Do they look down upon others or admire others? Based on this, try to rank or come up with basic structure of the society.
Third, analyze the government. What type of government is it? Is it beneficial to all or harmful to all? Does it favor certain groups? Who is the leader? What is the goal of the government? Government frequently causes conflicts between different socioeconomic classes
and therefore it is indispensable to determine the role and power of it in the society.
